The Woolley Institute for Spoken-Language Education (WISE), formerly the Alabama Ear Institute is a not for profit dedicated to teaching deaf children to speak. The Woolley Institute for Spoken-Language Education (WISE) is a 501 (c) (3) public, not for profit organization dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering children who are deaf or hard of hearing, children who have speech & language delays, and children who have typical hearing & speech and their families so that wise ears become wise minds. Integrated in educational programs which include typical hearing & speaking peers and peers with speech & language delays, our comprehensive therapy provides opportunities for children who are deaf and hard of hearing to learn to listen, speak, read, and integrate fully into the hearing society.
