Day 9 - Ehlers Danlos Awareness Month My Most Challenging Symptoms My Most challenging symptoms that are always changing for me are actually from my Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. This syndrome is believed to be a comorbidity of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This is the most difficult for me because it is the most unpredictable. I test negative to all allergy tests yet am in a state of constant allergic reactions. I never know when my body feels like creating a reaction. So I take a medication to kill my histamine receptors and some days enough antihistamine to put a large elephant to sleep. The funny thing is that I even have allergic reactions sometimes to the medicine I take to keep me from anaphylaxis. So when taking my infusions I have to sit next to 2 epi pens and sometimes spend hours at hospital under observation.
