Where do we get the data for the State of the Air report? We analyze the latest quality-assured air quality data from 2021-2023, collected by local, state, and Tribal air pollution control authorities. EPA staff and programs are the reasons the US has access to air quality data in the first place. Without them, families won't know what's in the air they're breathing, and efforts to clean up air pollution will be undone.
