New Orleans Opera mourns the sudden passing of Dennis Whitehead Darling, Director, in New York. Dennis made his New Orleans directing debut in December 2024, directing our immersive production of Campbell-Okpebholo’s opera The Cook-Off, at The Southern Food & Beverage Museum. True to form, his insight, craft and wit created a joyful show and a wonderful experience for all involved.
