Is any foreign language taught at Anchorage Waldorf School? Foreign language is an integral part of the curriculum in all grades at the Anchorage Waldorf School. Initially taught through story, song, rhyme and movement, students become acquainted with the qualities of different cultures. As students progress through the grades, they develop skills in grammar, reading and translation. Students not only learn vocabulary in a foreign language, but embrace the culture through fairy tales, art, cooking, and traditional costumes. WONDER Awakening WINDOW INTO WALDORF AT AWS Nestled below the Alaskan Chugach Mountain Range the Anchorage Waldorf School embodies Rudolf Steiners ideals to spark and nurture the highest potential in humanity. The Anchorage Waldorf School is the only independent Waldorf school in the state of Alaska. We offer an education that honors and nurtures the human spirit in each child. This video was filmed in February of 2022 and highlights some of the ways AWS students learn by doing by using their hands their heads and their hearts.
