Hero Academy Unforgettable Retreats in Paradise For An Amazing Cause HeroKids nonprofit and our retreats Hero Academy was founded in Tamarindo Costa Rica in 2016. Our mission is to offer local kids an opportunity to participate in Jiu Jitsu and other sports programs free of charge. We currently have over 150 kids in our programs since inception over 1500 kids have received full scholarships to train. We fund this mission by bringing in top talent from BJJ and MMA to hold once in a lifetime retreats.
