Say hello to our fabulous playwright — Lisa Avila! We’re beyond grateful to bring her magical words to the stage once again! This time, she’s leading us straight into Wonderland... and we want YOU to join us! Lisa was also the playwright genius behind our last Kidz Krew productions, and we’re SO lucky to have her back for another unforgettable journey! Describe the story in three words? “Difficult to do. Here we are: a precocious child's imagination. Since the story is so intricate and there are so many characters, and, since so few people have read the entire tale, I wanted to bring the gist of the story and some of the more interesting characters to life. What would an intelligent and imaginative child dream during a summer afternoon nap? This story. “ What inspired your version of this story?� “For Kidz Krew purposes, I always tried to write plays that both children and adults would enjoy: I wanted the kids to love the characters and think they were fun to play and I wanted the adults to enjoy the story and the silly humor I injected while telling the tale (first rule of theater).
