Garden Club at Palm Coast

The Garden Club at Palm Coast is a nonprofit organization registered as a 501(c)(3) for charitable purposes. Established in 1975, its first formal meeting took place on June 2, 1976. The club became a member of District VI, Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. in 1981, and it was incorporated in 1984. The club's mission is to aid in the protection and conservation of plants, birds, trees, air, and water, to stimulate knowledge and love of horticulture and floral design, and to educate members on environmental affairs while encouraging civic pride[1].

Activities and Programs

• Meetings: The club holds monthly meetings from September to May at Club 51 Social Club in Palm Coast. These meetings include lunch gatherings, guest speakers, and plant sales[1][5].
• Fundraising Events: The Garden Club organizes fundraising activities, including plant sales and community events like the annual Spring Festival & Plant Sale. This event features a broad array of plants, local crafts, live music, and family activities[1][4].
• Proven Winners Fundraiser: In partnership with Proven Winners, the club raises funds through online plant purchases[1].

Community Support

Since 2009, the Garden Club at Palm Coast has awarded over $57,000 in scholarships to community recipients, including local high school seniors, community projects, the Wekiva elementary-age summer camp, Whispering Meadows Ranch, and the Hammock Gardens Nursery Art Program[4].

Membership

Membership is open to individuals and couples, with annual fees of $50 for individuals and $65 for couples[1]. The club welcomes visitors to attend meetings once to learn more about the organization[5].
