CALAVERAS COUNTY SEARCH AND RESCUE
"TO AID THE LOST, INJURED AND IMPERILED" The Calaveras County Search and Rescue (SAR) Team consists of 100% volunteers who operate under the direction of the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office also has Deputies assigned as Search and Rescue Coordinators. Our team members come from all walks of life and bring a variety of important skills and experience. The motto of the Search and Rescue is, “So that others may live”. Calaveras County Volunteer Search and Rescue is funded 100% through donations and grants. We augment local fire and medical service in the county while also providing search and rescue services that these organizations are not trained or equipped to perform.
