The Fund for Global Human Rights identifies and invests in the world’s most innovative and effective human rights activists, organizations, and movements. Created in 2002 by a group of prominent activists and donors, the Fund fills a critical gap in the charity sector by connecting grassroots human rights defenders to flexible funding, long-term strategic support, and a global network of allies. We look for local leaders who are protecting and promoting the rights of their community—then we provide the money, tools, and training to help them succeed. Since our founding, the Fund has raised and invested more than $165 million into the work of 1,100+ activists and organizations in more than 50 countries.
