Wilderness Workshop
We protect the wilderness, water, and wildlife of Western Colorado's public lands. Our mission is to protect the wilderness, water, and wildlife of Western CO's public lands. Wilderness Workshop’s mission is to protect and conserve the wilderness and natural landscapes of the Roaring Fork Watershed, the White River National Forest, and adjacent public lands. WW is a non-profit organization that engages in research, education, legal advocacy and grassroots organizing to protect the ecological integrity of surrounding public lands. We focus on the monitoring and conservation of air and water quality, wildlife species and habitat, and natural communities. Finally, we advocate for adding lands of wilderness quality to the National Wilderness Preservation System.

Protected public lands and wilderness shape our communities and form the bedrock not only for the Colorado way of life, but for the wildlife that call our state home too. Current staffing and funding cuts threaten the very things that make our public lands valuable. If federal land managers aren’t restoring and conserving wildlife habitat, we won’t have wildlife roaming our public lands.
