Greyhound Gang
When I started greyhound rescue work in the 1980's, over 50,000 greyhounds were bred yearly. When tracks close, those numbers get reduced. Greyhounds are bred to earn money on race tracks for their breeders. When these dogs are incapable of earning their keep - from puppy to brood - they are not wanted. I, and the over 300 other volunteer adoption groups, want them. We pay for transport, medical, socialization, adoption, marketing and more. We do this because we love greyhounds, have adopted them ourselves, and want every single one of them born to find a loving, forever home.
