Overview

E3 Educate-Empower-Elevate is a US-based nonprofit organization, operating as a 501(c)3 entity. The foundation's mission is centered on educating, empowering, and elevating those most impacted by inequities, particularly Black and Brown families. This is achieved through culturally competent engagement and coalition building among Black and Brown-led organizations, leaders, educators, children, and families.

Founders

E3 Educate-Empower-Elevate was founded by Audrey Lane and LaTisha Vaughn, who envisioned a framework that addresses systemic inequities by placing those most affected at the forefront of decision-making processes.

Focus Areas

The organization focuses on several key areas, including:

• Co-Creation Work: E3 collaborates with community-based organizations to develop annual community events, such as Community-Wide Assessments and ParentFest. These events empower families to advocate for their children and support long-term coalition building.

  • Community-Wide Assessments: These events involve local back-to-school activities where students receive assessments of their academic levels, helping parents monitor their progress according to state standards.

  • ParentFest: An annual event that connects parents with resources and empowers them to become effective advocates for their children through workshops and community engagement.

• ProTruthSC: E3 is a founding member of this coalition, which aims to ensure that children learn an accurate history of their country and state, fostering informed and engaged adulthood.

• Economic & Social Justice: E3 is committed to ensuring that everyone participates in the political process. This includes providing voting guides, organizing School Board Candidate Forums, and facilitating community conversations about education.
