Janet Shing, Community Foundation for Monterey County's Director of Grantmaking, addressed the Monterey Peninsula Volunteer Services’ (MPVS) annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch this week. The all-volunteer organization (celebrating its 70th anniversary this year) operates a benefit resale shop in Seaside and returns money from its sales back into the community through grants benefitting organizations on the Monterey Peninsula.
