Through comprehensive year-round programming, After-School All-Stars Philadelphia seeks to: 1. Connect youth to principled and caring adults. 2. Nurture young people?s skills and capacities, including social skills, vocational interests and civic responsibility. 3. Protect youth from violence and other dangerous or negative influences. 4. Create a peer group in which youth exert a positive influence on each other. 5. Provide opportunities for children and youth to contribute to their community and society. 6. Enrich young people?s academic performance and educational commitment.
