Edith Kanakaole Foundation Founded in the spring of 1990 the Edith Kanakaole Foundation is a Hawaiian culturalbased nonprofit 501c3 organization. Established on the vibrant traditions and rich cultural heritage of the Kanakaole family the Foundations mission is to elevate Hawaiian intelligence through cultural education founded on the teachings and traditional practices of Edith and Luka Kanakaole. Hale Kanakaole Fund The family of the late Edith Kanakaole has established this fund which recognizes her numerous contributions toward the promotion of Native Hawaiians educational pursuits. The purpose of this fund is to provide support to students enrolled at any campus within the University of Hawaii system with a preference for students of Native Hawaiian ancestry.
