Much more than a collection of artifacts, our annual Youth Time Capsule inspires thousands of kids each year to share their stories and perspectives—empowering a generation to grow confident, connected, and empathetic. Once Upon Our Time Capsule envisions a world where youth confidently navigate and thrive amidst life's inevitable challenges and changes. Our annual Youth Time Capsule engages thousands of young people, with an explicit focus on disinvested communities and communities in crisis, in creating and sharing their unique stories, helping them build confidence and belonging. Guided by an arts-infused curriculum, youth contribute their stories and artworks to a modern-day digital time capsule, which is sealed and reopened after ten years. We aim to create an enduring tradition—centered on self-expression and storytelling—that connects youth across classrooms, communities, and time.
