Map The Gaps Map the Gaps in Seafloor Data Support OpenAccess Data Build a Global Community We cant protect what we dont understand and we cant understand what we dont measure. Only a fraction of the sea floor has been explored in enough detail to really know whats down there. This gap in knowledge about what lies at the bottom of our worlds oceans often leaves conservation organizations communities explorers and researchers in the dark and unable to access the data they need to support crucial projects and initiatives. To make things even more challenging sea floor data is not always available or relevant and the cost of acquiring new data can be prohibitive.
