Home - Igniting Minds We are dedicated to eradicating educational and nutritional inequities that perpetuate multigenerational poverty in underserved communities particularly in Chicago. Our mission is to enhance academic achievement by addressing the root causes of hunger disparities and educational gaps ensuring that every student regardless of their socioeconomic background has access to the resources they need to thrive. We believe that proper nutrition and a strong academic foundation are the keys to lifelong success. Thats why our programs go beyond just feeding students we also offer comprehensive academic support initiatives designed to help students excel in the classroom.

We are happy to share that our organization is one of the recipients of the 2025 AMPT Grant. This $10,000 grant assists Black & Latine organizations like ours looking to supplement program expenses, develop new programs, gain professional development for staff, and more. This grant will allow Igniting Minds to expand our summer programming and provide access to healthy, culturally relevant meals for students who need them most.
