Orphan Season 2025 continues with the recent arrival of a female red fox kit. She was found outside of a den and brought to the zoo by biologists for care. She is doing well, but not fully visibly to the public just yet. We want to remind the public that there is a procedure to report wildlife concerns to biologists, see our page at https://www.alaskazoo.org/report-wildlife-and-bird-concerns for info. Human intervention, although well intended, may result in a nearby mother losing her baby. We see animals orphaned this way each summer.
