THE MURRAY COUNTY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION INC (THE FOUNDATION) WAS FORMED FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL FINANCIAL FUNDING SUPPORT FOR EACH OF THE INDIVIDUAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS (K-12) WITHIN THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOOL DISTRICT WHICH IS A PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA. ALL FUNDS THE FOUNDATION RAISES, EITHER THROUGH A FUNDRAISING EVENT OR CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED BY DONORS, WILL GO PREDOMINANTLY TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF THE RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A NOMINAL AMOUNT RETAINED FOR CERTAIN SMALL RECURRING OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE FOUNDATION. THESE FUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SCHOOLS IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BASED UPON A NEEDS BASIS TO HELP THE SCHOOLS TO SECURE THE NECESSARY FUNDING FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND FINE ARTS EQUIPMENT.
