AAC (alternative & augmentative communication) in Lakota, an Indigenous language. Fully distributed since 2005. We’re passionate about making the web a better place. http://www.automattic.com The Lakota language is endangered. Teaching our children to speak our language helps preserve our ways of thinking and our history. Every Lakota child, regardless of their ability to speak with their voice, deserves to speak Lakota. We seek to create an Augmentative and Alternative Communication system in the Lakota langauge, and provide access to it for non-speaking Lakota children.
