LVRS is a non-profit organization and chapter member of the American Rose Society. The Lehigh Valley Rose Society, Inc. (LVRS) is a local chapter of the American Rose Society (ARS). ARS was established in 1892 and is the nation’s largest and oldest single-plant horticultural society. LVRS exists to encourage amateur and professional rose culture; to provide rose horticulture education throughout the Lehigh Valley; to increase the general understanding of and interest in all aspects of roses, including but not limited to the history of roses, hybridization, growing, exhibiting, artistic designing and judging, and research. Our chapter plays an active role in the Lehigh Valley and was instrumental in helping to restore the Bethlehem Rose Garden. We are now fundraising for and will be installing a new public rose garden in Center Valley, PA.
