Vinaka Vakalevu & Sota Tale, Luisa After nearly eight incredible years with us, we’re saying sota tale (see you later) to one of the most cherished members of the Animals Fiji Vuvale (family) — our beloved Luisa. Since joining our Savusavu Clinic in November 2016, Luisa has been our rock. Starting alongside Dr. Jeff and Jose, and continuing with teams comprised of Dr. Alex, Brenda, Dr. Rita, Vet Tech Wendy, and most recently Aggie as our North Manager, Luisa has been a constant presence through every chapter of our growth in the North. Originally from Taveuni, Luisa didn’t just dedicate herself to the Savusavu Clinic — over the years, she also helped with outreach clinics as well our Taveuni clinic and Labasa clinic, always lending a hand when she could and needed most. More than a Veterinary Assistant, Luisa has been a living library of our charity organization. She has held the stories, routines, and wisdom of Animals Fiji — supporting clients, volunteers, and staff new and old with a quiet confidence and boundless heart. She’s the person who always knows, who made everyone — animal and human — feel at ease. Her knowledge, her grace, her steady hands, and warm spirit will be missed more than words can say. But even more than what she did, we’ll miss who she is — kind, humble, generous, and full of lolomas. Luisa is leaving to spend more time with her family, including her teenage daughter — a well-deserved next chapter. Though our Savusavu Clinic won’t feel the same without her, the impact she’s had here will last forever. From all of us: VINA’A VA’ALEVU Luisa — thank you for everything.
