Let’s kick off the week by getting to know the inspiring Daphne! Daphne is 12 years old and lives in Masagua, Escuintla, with her parents. Recently, they faced the heartbreaking loss of her younger brother, but love and hope remain strong in their home. Since the age of 2, Daphne has lived with a condition that gradually weakened her muscles — and two years ago, she began using a wheelchair. Despite the challenges, she never gives up. She is currently in sixth grade, an outstanding student, and dreams of becoming a business administrator. Her favorite subject is math, and in her free time, she watches tutorials to keep learning and helps friends edit videos — gaining both experience and a small income. Life has been a constant challenge for Daphne, but neither she nor her parents have lost faith. With courage and love, they continue pushing forward so she can achieve her dreams — especially now that she has a custom-designed wheelchair made just for her at Asociación Transiciones, helping her move forward and reach her goals. 💛 A story of strength, hope, and perseverance. Meet Jefferson López, a 26-year-old from San Antonio Aguas Calientes who was born with spina bifida. His life has been full of challenges, from discovering his own abilities to setting and reaching personal goals—especially in sports. Thanks to Asociación Transiciones, Jefferson found his passion for adaptive basketball, where he learned the importance of discipline, courage, determination, respect, and humility—values that now guide every aspect of his life. After a year in basketball, Jefferson realized he needed to improve physically, leading him to start training at the gym. His dedication caught the attention of regional promoters from the Guatemalan Paralympic Committee, who saw his potential in powerlifting. Since then, Jefferson has embraced this new sport and achieved success at both departmental and national levels. His greatest dream now is to one day represent Guatemala on the international stage. 🇬🇹 #Inspiración #DeporteInclusivo #ParalímpicosGT #FuerzaYValor #transicionesguatemala (fb)
