Overture exists to glorify God by providing excellent music instruction in a Christian community Overture Music Academy exists to serve the Middle Tennessee community by providing excellence in music instruction in a Christian environment. This is realized through choral and instrumental ensembles, as well as classes in music theory and history. Additionally, our intent is to develop a supportive community for our musicians and their families. We want our students to understand that music is much more than notes on a page; that it is a vehicle for expressing the breadth of human emotion, the language of the soul, and the beauty of God as part of His created order. We want to facilitate collaborative opportunities through which students and the community can encounter the beauty of God’s created order. Music shall be “soli Deo gloria” — for the glory of God alone.
