Yesterday, we visited a former teammate, Russ Anderson, at his house and workshop to eat pizza and tell stories. Russ started in Mountain Rescue with the Altadena Mountain Rescue Team from 1964-1975. He has made a significant impact to modern rescue including contributions to the modern figure 8 descender, litter wheel, winches and a variety of rescue pulleys. A true living legend.
