The Maji Movement We hold the belief that clean water is a fundamental right for all individuals. In Swahili which is one of the official languages of Tanzania maji means water. The Maji Movement is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing clean water access for Tanzanian families emphasizing community empowerment and sustainability. Through our efforts community members gain knowledge in constructing installing and upkeeping biosand filters while also cultivating a profound awareness of the profound impact of clean water on ones overall health.

Shout out to our wonderful students at Edgemont high school who will be hosting a maji movement club fundraiser tomorrow in partnership with their local chipotle. Every $100 raised will provide a family with clean drinking water for 25 years. We are so grateful to our generous and compassionate students in helping us change the world 🌎.
