Pacoima Beautiful evolved from being a beautification committee to an independent non-profit environmental organization as the participating community members and the staff became more knowledgeable about the environmental problems in the community, the potential consequence on the health of the residents, particularly the children and the need for an organization to deal with these issues.

Join us in celebrating the environmental champions whose tireless work is making a lasting impact across communities. Purchase Tickets About Pacoima Beautiful Pacoima Beautiful PB was founded in 1996 by five relentless mothers who became distraught by the unpleasant sight of trash and toxic smells they endured while walking their young children to school. They knew that the only way to create a safer and cleaner community for their children and neighbors was through collective action and so like good neighbors they joined forces to bring Pacoima some of its first major community cleanups and tree planting events.
