Galveston Naval Museum | things to do in galveston

A nonprofit dedicated to the care and preservation of two WWII-era vessels: USS Cavalla and USS Stewart. Both ships are open to the public seven days a week. Take a self guided tour through the USS Cavalla Submarine & USS Stewart Destroyer Escort at Seawolf Park. The mission of the Cavalla Historical Foundation (dba Galveston Naval Museum) is to RESTORE, PRESERVE, and EDUCATE through the operation of the Galveston Naval Museum, Seawolf Park, Galveston TX. We are committed to restoring and preserving presenting our nation's ships and promoting the legacy of those who served aboard submarines and anti-submarine vessels. We conduct daily and special programs to educate visitors and the surrounding community on the unique historical, educational and patriotic experience of underwater warfare. The World War II submarine USS Cavalla and Destroyer Escort USS Stewart both are national historic places on display and open for tours.
