The DAR is excited to highlight our ongoing collaboration with the Military Women's Memorial! Our donations to this historic memorial honoring the service of women in America’s military have recently reached the milestone of $1 million! DAR members have enthusiastically supported the Memorial since it’s inception in the 1985, taking part in the Memorial’s opening ceremony in 1997, and supporting it’s current restoration efforts. For this support, DAR will be recognized as the sponsor of the upcoming Defending a New Nation Gallery which will explore women’s service in and with the Armed Forces from our nation’s founding through the end of the 19th century.
