Memorial Day is a day of reflection and remembrance. Over the years, we have worked very closely with the U.S. veteran community and we’ve heard firsthand about the sacrifices that generations of Americans and their families have made in service of their nation — including many Afghan-Americans. We also remember those who succumbed to the moral and physiological injuries that war inflicts after they came back home. Wars often ugly and seldom just.
