Clara’s House is a no-cost clinic for people without health insurance in the Sacramento area. “The project addresses the health needs of the poor as a manifestation of the spiritual beliefs of the participants cherishing diversity of cultures. The clinic seeks to provide primary health care and education for those economically disadvantaged among us. The clinic will be run by Nurse Practitioners, but will collaborate with volunteer MDs, NPs, RNs and other health care professionals to further extend care to those who do not have access to health care and are not aware of appropriate resources. The clinic will work in coordination with existing services in the community and seek to promote health maintenance through education, assessment and preventative health care. It will coordinate ongoing care with professionals, agencies, schools, and families and in the larger community.”
