Nonprofit Science & Space Learning Center Space Center Houston's mission statement is: "We inspire all generations through the wonders of space exploration." Space Center Houston is the cornerstone of the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Manned Space Flight Education Foundation’s education mission. Our commitment to educating youth and encouraging curiosity is the force behind our innovative programs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), changing exhibits and curation of one of the world’s largest permanent collections of space artifacts. As the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center, we offer visitors “a front row seat” to the space program through daily mission briefings on current developments in human spaceflight as well as opportunities to go onsite to JSC to view Mission Control and see where astronauts train.Space flight, one of the greatest human achievements of the 20th Century, captivates our sense of wonder at what humans can achieve and how far we can go. By sharing the extraordinary story of human space flight through exhibits and education programs, Space Center Houston helps students discover their own abilities and ignites a love of learning and exploration.  Gifts from generous donors are critical to helping us expand our education mission by reaching out to more than 250,000 teachers, students and children each year through cutting-edge science education programs.
