THE WISCONSIN ONSITE WATER RECYCLING ASSOCIATION IS A STATEWIDE ORGANIZATION OF SEPTIC SYSTEM INSTALLERS, SOIL TESTERS, DESIGNERS, MANUFACTURERS, AND RELATED GOVERNMENTAL AND EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL. WOWRA WAS FORMED IN 1974 BY A GROUP OF INSTALLERS INTERESTED IN IMPROVING THE TRADE AND HAVING A VOICE IN LEGISLATION AFFECTING THEIR BUSINESS. IN FEBRUARY 2008, THE NAME WAS CHANGED FROM WISCONSIN ONSITE WASTEWATER RECYCLING ASSOCIATION TO ITS CURRENT NAME - WISCONSIN ONSITE WATER RECYCLING ASSOCIATION - TO REFLECT OUR WORK NOT ONLY WITH SEPTIC SYSTEMS BUT ALSO STORMWATER MANAGEMENT.
