🌊 The Road to Change Starts in the Community 🇫🇴 The tides are shifting in the Faroe Islands — not with confrontation, but with connection. 💙 This year we´ve taken important step in our campaign: we’ve moved purposefully into the community. We’re not here to stay on the sidelines. We’re here to be seen, to be spoken with, to listen, and to show that ocean protection is a shared cause. Because the real end to the grind will come from within — from the ocean-loving Faroese community itself. And we're committed to making that road not just possible, but welcoming, empowering, and inspiring. 🌱 That means extending a hand. It means being present, leaving a positive mark, and having the confidence to show Faroese society that Sea Shepherd volunteers are not a threat — we are a gift. And we are so happy, to be received with a smile and a thumbs up, when we're out. It feels like we're on the right path. So THANK YOU to the locals that are increasingly being kind and curious about us. We come from every corner of the globe. Different languages. Different flags. But the same passion. Because loving the ocean and working to protect it isn't bound by borders — it's something woven into our DNA. In Faroese, a volunteer is called a "sjálvbodin."
