Our Mission The Greater Kent Historical Society operates the Kent Museum and inspires the community to explore and discover their history. We educate and preserve diverse family and kinfolk storylines for future generations. Land Acknowledgment A long time ago before Puget Sound was carved out by glaciers when the mountains were young and when the ancient forests were just seeding the First People inhabited this land. Before European contact the Native Tribes included the dxdewabS Duwamish the Inside People from Seattle to Kent the sUupabS Green River People Auburn to its headwaters and the spalkoabS White River People from Auburn its headwaters.
