What was once a plain stairwell at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center now bursts with vibrant scenes of Oregon wildlife—hand-painted by Newberg artist Kylee Katterman. 🌲🐢🦊🦦 Designed with pediatric patients in mind, the artwork supports physical, occupational, and speech therapy, helping kids build endurance, improve mobility, and engage their senses — all while sparking a sense of wonder. Kylee knows this journey well. She spent countless hours doing physical therapy in that same stairwell when she was younger. Today, meet Mariah Keane, a leader in our neuro trauma intensive care unit who wears many hats: staff nurse, charge nurse, ECMO nurse, educator, and clinical lead. She supports new nurses at the University of Portland and is helping lead a system-wide monitoring upgrade.
