Happy #migrationmonday everyone! Today, we're asking you to help more birds stay happy in the wild! This wood thrush hit a window LAST migration season, and suffered from head trauma, a shoulder fracture, and multiple air sac punctures. After a few days of oxygen, pain and anti-inflammatory medications, oxygen, and fluid therapy this friend gained all his strength back until he was ready for release.❤️‍🩹 🪟So, THIS season, we're asking that you prevent window collisions like this wood thrush suffered by breaking up the window reflection whether it's through renter-friendly decals, measured dotted tape, or even drawing with white soap bars! 🤝Everyone makes an amazing effort to keep our wildlife safe, so spread the news to someone who maybe hasn't heard about the ways to protect migrating birds this season.
