About About The Morgan Project The Morgan Project is an educational effort rooted in Birminghams unique role in Americas civil rights struggle and inspired by the social justice movement of 2020. Founded by members of the YMBC it seeks to introduce evidencebased lessons into classrooms and lead public conversations in meeting spaces to present a fuller picture of the countrys history with a focus on Alabama. Event Conflict andCourage Education Professional Development Series Aligning with our mission to teach civil rights and social justice through Birminghams history of conflict and courage TMP offers a series of professional development workshops that serve to equip educators with the tools and knowledge for how to effectively teach civil rights history and highlights lesserknown figures of the civil rights movement.
