Granbury Volunteer Fire Department
12 years ago an EF4 tornado with winds approaching 180 mph struck the Rancho Brazos subdivision in Granbury. The powerful tornado took the lives of 6 residents and destroyed over 90 homes. Granbury Fire personnel were the first emergency responders into the neighborhood where they remained in shifts for several days searching for the missing.
