GROW a TEACHER
Grow a Teacher's mission is to inspire the next generation to teach. We intend to encourage young people to experience the hard work and joy of teaching early in their schooling, from PreK to grade 12, to foster not only a passion for teaching, but also a deep understanding of the value of teachers. Along the way, Grow a Teacher students will develop skills -- deeper learning, critical thinking, research, collaboration, speaking, reflecting, mentoring --that are transferable to other careers. To make it easy for teachers to incorporate Grow a Teacher into their classrooms, each lesson will be tagged to state standards. But, Grow a Teacher can also be an after school club, or used in a summer camp. We encourage creative use and community design!

Grow a Teacher – Learn to teach, teach to learn Grow a Teacher Learn to teach teach to learn News Grow a Teacher has launched. We are piloting this fall at the Phelan Language Academy in Whittier CA and Orchard Hills School in Orchard Hills CA. At each school we have fantastic teachers who are now members of our Founding Advisory Board and will guide us to produce the Digital Toolkit designed to inspire the next generation to teach. Stay tuned for video interviews of our top teachers and eventually a peek into their classrooms as they pilot Grow a Teacher.
