IT IS A BI-PARTISAN, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN PROMOTING THE COMMON GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE AND ENTITIES OF AMERICA'S PERMIAN BASIN. IT ENGAGES, GUIDES, AND SUPPORTS POLICY MAKERS AND ENGAGES IN POLICY ADVOCACY. IT SUPPORTS PROGRAMS AND POLICY THAT BENEFITS PERMIAN BASIN BUSINESSES, FAMILIES AND RESOURCES. IT EMPOWERS ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PERMIAN BASIN. THE COALITION SHARES KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMON GOOD, FOR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROGRAMS, THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF FAMILIES, AND FOR THE SAFETY OF THOSE WHO WORK AND LIVE IN THE PERMIAN BASIN.

Say No To Transport & Storage of Nuclear Waste Permian Basin Coalition Initiative We are fighting the federal governments risky plan to ship the nations radioactive waste crosscountry for storage in the southwest. Background The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is allowing private companies to assume the Federal responsibility of dealing with Americas evergrowing stockpile of nuclear waste. There are Two Plans underway First the Feds want to allow private companies to transport spent nuclear fuel from old nuclear reactors to private storage sites that straddle the TexasNew Mexico border. Second the Feds want to change longheld regulations that govern radioactive waste disposal in order to rid themselves of stranded radioactive waste.
