Argos, A Shelter Dog Rescue, was established to reduce euthanasia of adoptable dogs in NM shelters. Argos, A Shelter Dog Rescue, Inc. was established to reduce the euthanasia rate in New Mexico's overcrowded shelters. Argos provides rescue, all medical care, finds foster or short term boarding, rehabilitation, training, adoption, and follow up care for all of our dogs rescued from New Mexico shelters. Argos Rescue works closely with NM shelter directors and staff to rescue dogs that are at immediate risk of euthanasia, often due to overcrowding. Argos Rescue works to educate the public on the importance of spay/ neuter and vaccinations. Argos Rescue matches dogs with people and people with dogs. Argos is an all volunteer 501(c) 3 non- profit organization.
