Created in Kathryn’s honor to provide scholarships to continue her legacy & cultivate a community of support to families grieving the loss of a child Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland Foundation It is the mission of the Kathryn Leigh Thurgaland foundation to meet the initial needs of families who have lost a child along with carrying Kathyrn's legacy forward to future generations by celebrating life with the Love of Life Festival, and by helping students pursue their educational goals through memorial scholarships. There are three programs offered. One is to support families who have lost a child in the same way our family was helped by friends and family. The second is Love of Life Festival; our way of continuing to honor Kathryn’s amazing love of life by recognizing her values of human expression through art, music, dancing, and the performing arts. With our third program, we provide memorial scholarships for students that practice and live the same values and dreams.
