It is with faith and gratitude that I announce the closure of Take the Lead Nola. Over the past 13 years, Take the Lead has been a catalyst for education, enrichment, and empowerment for disenfranchised students and communities. We have assisted more than 500 people with mentorship, work readiness, internship and job placement including job coaching and on-site support, empowerment programs and resource referrals. We have engaged and cultivated relationships with over 30 schools, 100 businesses, and several city council members and community advocates. Take the Lead Nola’s legacy will remain a staple in the community and although the organization is closing, the lasting effects of the people we have empowered will live beyond the closing of our doors. On behalf of everyone at Take the Lead Nola, “thank you for your support.” Your commitment to the community is commendable and we couldn't have accomplished our goals without your support.
