Sophia Theological Seminary and Sophia Farms is a re-imagined community of learning and living in harmony with creation, where all members of the community support the mission of the Seminary through work together on the Farm. The Farms are organized and shall be operated exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. More specifically and without limiting or expanding the foregoing, the purpose of the Farms is to provide financial support for Sophia Theological Seminary (hereinafter, the “Seminary”), a Virginia non-stock corporation organized and operated for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The preceding sentence shall not limit the ability of the Farms to carry out any other religious, charitable, or educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
