Empower minority youth and parents in the Washington Metro Area with the knowledge, tools, and resources to prevent early substance and drug use in an effort to create a drug-free home and community one neighbor, one parent, one child at a time.
My Neighbor’s Keeper Alliance, USA (MyNKA, USA) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aimed at raising awareness of alcohol and drug abuse within the Cameroonian community, in particular, and other minority communities in the Washington metropolitan area. Emphasis will be on empowering adolescents (pre-teens and teens) with knowledge and tools in dealing with issues related to substance and drug abuse. This will involve partnering with key stakeholders (parents, teachers, community leaders, healthcare workers, law enforcement) in the Washington metropolitan area in an effort to provide lasting solutions to achieve drug-free homes within our community.
