On Saturday, May 31st, the Vista Fire Department hosted its 2025 Annual Inspection Dinner at the Vista Firehouse. During the event, several members were recognized for their outstanding service and dedication: -- Firefighter/EMT Candidate Pietro Cipriano received the 2024–2025 Rookie of the Year award -- EMT Grant Vialardi was named 2024–2025 EMT of the Year -- Foreman Kyla Whalen was honored as the 2024–2025 Firefighter of the Year -- Firefighter/EMT Tom Ritchey was recognized for an incredible 45 years of service -- Firefighter Martin Rojas was honored for 25 years of service -- Engine 142 received the Best Fire Apparatus award -- Ambulance 84B2 received the Best Ambulance award The Annual Inspection Dinner is a special evening where the Vista Fire District #1 and Vista Fire Department come together to celebrate and thank our members for their unwavering commitment and service to the Vista community. As we prepare for tonight’s 2025 Vista Fire Department Annual Inspection Dinner, our members have dedicated countless hours to cleaning and detailing their assigned apparatus for one of the biggest nights of the year. Each member of the Vista Fire Department is assigned to a specific piece of apparatus—Engine 141, Engine 142, Engine 143, Tanker 4, Ambulance 84B1, or Ambulance 84B2—and has spent the past month meticulously preparing their vehicle for the formal inspection that takes place before tonight’s dinner.
