We live God’s love in service to the community and the world. We are a small, progressive, inclusive Christian church that also functions like a faith-based community foundation. We have been working towards a more just world since our founding 157 years ago. We are situated in one of the most expensive localities in the country: the San Francisco Bay Area. The rising costs are driving our neighbors away. We have an essential and unique model of offering space- at low to no cost- to other local nonprofit organizations. We sold our large campus in 2007 and are using those funds to benefit others, both through sharing our space and by direct service and donations.
